WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Many people believe that seeing is a mysterious gift, the so-called “artist’s eye.” The reality is that almost anyone can learn seeing, particularly when they understand the basic processes by which the brain perceives visual information. The more one learns how to see the world from a viewfinder’s perspective, the better photographer one is going to be.

This course is designed to simply explain how all the different components of image composition interact together to produce powerful imagery which will transform the photograph from being simply a snap shot into a great shot!

during a period of 4 hours, this course will cover all the necessary compositional aspects of photography, including:

  • The photographers eye
  • Composition
  • Angle of view
  • Point of view
  • Cropping
  • Subject Placement
  • Sharpness
  • Elements of Design

WHY LEARNING THE ART OF COMPOSITION?

Seeing is the ability to observe what is before the photographer and visualize how it will appear in an image. It is the most fundamental skill because it not only determines which visual elements will appear in an image, but also influences the decision to make the image. Often one thinks only about the subject of the image and forgets the meaning of composition altogether when taking a photograph which only seldom yields to the best possible composition.

It is critically important to pay attention to the composition of the image every time taking a photograph. Composition can have a dramatic effect on the resulting image.
